When playing pentatonics, many guitarists are unaware of how versatile this five note scale can be outside of conventional blues/rock licks.
Take your time learning all five shapes of the minor pentatonic so you’ll be better equipped to use it all over the fretboard. Then learn the short sequential exercises that follow not only to give you fresh sounds but to improve your technique and hand synchronisation at the same time.
Once done, then apply those sequences to the remaining four shapes to really become a pentatonic master!
